BorderInformationPoint Euregio Rhine-Waal

2016 - 2019

The border information center is access point for Germans as well as Dutch people who have questions concerning the legal regulations related to work, income and social security. In the framework of a clearly aligned offer of information along the German-Dutch border, citizens of both countries are supported. The target group is current, former and future cross-border commuters who are orientating themselves towards the cross-border labour market. However, advice to employers is a part of the service offer as well. Complex issues are also able to be dealt with as the partner organisations SVB, pension fund, UVW, Employment Agency, DGB and FVN are on-site and thus, able to answer questions directly. Moreover, the border information center, located in the Euregio Rhein-Waal, has a network of national organisations (Belastingdienst, health insurers, revenue office etc.) whose capacities and know-how can be made use of. Additionally, the border information center will regularly organize (tax) consultation hours for citizens, at which representatives of the network partners will be present. The border information center Euregio Rhein-Waal also offers consultancy for specific target groups by request. The border information center Euregio Rhein-Waal is responsible for the training and further education of the primary consultants of all the German-Dutch border information centers.
