The Chairman of the Euregio Rhine-Waal Hubert Bruls and Managing Director Andreas Kochs recently had the opportunity to meet the German Ambassador in The Hague, Dr Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, together with the managing directors and chairmen of the other Euregios along the German-Dutch border.
The talks centred on key issues affecting our cooperation in the border region:
- Education: Neighbouring language, recognition of qualifications
- Border controls
- Cross-border deployment of emergency services
- Labour migration
- Border info points
- The future of Interreg after 2027
The exchange and the interesting and constructive discussions were very valuable. Such dialogues are crucial to further strengthen the cooperation between the Euregios and to find joint solutions to the challenges along the border.
A big thank you to the German Embassy in The Hague for the invitation and the successful exchange!
