Automated transport as a solution

At the same time, transport companies are finding it difficult to maintain existing services and bus routes due to rising costs and a growing shortage of bus drivers. New members appointed to the Executive Committee of Euregio Rhine-Waal

The autumn meeting of the Euregio Council took place on 20 November at the Kamper Hof in Rheinberg. During the Euregio Council meeting, farewells were said to the members of the Executive Committee Peter Hinze (former mayor of Emmerich) and Thomas Ahls (former mayor of Alpen, also vice-chairman of Euregio Rhine-Waal). Both gentlemen had decided not to stand for re-election as mayor in the local elections last September. During the meeting, the Euregio Council also bid farewell to the German Euregio Council members who did not return as Euregio Council members after the local elections.
